Now I feel him with me everyday, hanging his head over my shoulder, or asking for "scritchies" I am now getting married and his presence is still with me but now I am feeling life once again. A Little Bit about my submission: This essay shares my feelings about Kelly, a 16 year old cat that I lost this weekend (June 17, 2001). It talks about the feelings (which may be construed as normal or unusual, depending on the reader) I have for Kelly, after her death, as well as the events before it. I elected to put Kelly down as an act of compassion. The essay begins with her last hours of life and ends with a summary of her 16 long, and happy, years as our family cat.
