Memories of Holly
Dear Sweet Holly (Ha-ee),

I can't believe you are gone. 18-1/2 years old. I thought you would live furever! Daddy spotted you walking on the sidewalk on Main Street Hackettstown on our way home from Applebees that November night. He pulled over, and I crossed the street and sweeped you up, and you were with us ever since.

You were so beautiful and tolerated all the cats that mommy had and brought home. Even Patch and Pissy Chrissy. Sometimes Walter bullied you then when it was just you and Stanley, you seemed to be best buddies till he passed 1/13/25.

You were daddy's nurse while he was sick. You hardly left his side till he passed.

You loved playing with the ball thing in the pink room especially around 3am. I loved hearing you play with that even when you got sick with that lump on your nose that Dr. Michelle wasn't sure what it was. Antibiotics helped you for a bit and mommy would wipe your eyes and nose. You didn't like any of that, but you were a good girl and let mommy do it because you knew I was helping you. You started coming on mommy's bed but didn't like when I would turn over or move around so you would jump off and go lay on the dog bed in the living room.

Towards the end, I knew something wasn't right. You would come in the kitchen looking for treats but could not see them. Then it just got worse and you were walking in circles and seemed disoriented then started peeing standing up in all different rooms and pooping. You seemed so confused. You weren't eating that well even being on a stimulant and Prednisolone. I knew it was time. I took you to Dr. Michelle, and she said you were blind and so dehydrated, but you started purring. Mommy pet you while you went over the Rainbow Bridge and you left peacefully. I hope daddy and all your furry brothers and sisters greeted you. I never not had a cat since I was about 5 years old. You are the last kitty mommy and daddy had from having 14 at once. Now you can see again, drink from crystal streams, bask in the sun, and enjoy your new home till that day when mommy comes home. I love you, my beautiful sweet girl and will miss you terribly.

Love,

Mommy, Fred, Boomer, Mya, Sophie, and Louie
