Memories of Morty
Oh Morty (Mor-Mor), we miss you so much. You were such a goof ball. We started out fostering you and your two brothers Spunky and Scooter in August 2000. After a few months, I couldn't let any of you go. You always had to put cat toys, dog toys, and even socks in water bowls all the time. You also taught the other furry kids to do it as well. We don't know why you always got so excited when we filled the bowls with water, but for some reason that was a thrill for you. Kidney disease took you at only 11 1/2 years old. We tried to help you, but it came so quick that it was too late, and we are so sorry. I hope that Caley, Casey, Murphy, Hannah, Parker, Grandma, and Nanny met you at the bridge. It was a hard Christmas this year without all of you. I hope you're having fun at the bridge, basking in the sun and putting toys in the water bowls. Until we meet again, our sweet boy. Run free and have fun. We love you very much.

Mommy, Daddy, and all your Brothers/Sisters

1/6/12 - Hi sweet boy! I can't believe its over a year now since we lost you. Bogey likes to take toys and put them all over the place but he doesn't put them in the water like you did. I hope you, Caley, Casey, Simba, Parker, and Hannah welcomed Dolly to the bridge. It's been a tough 2 years losing all you fur kids as well as Nanny, Granny, Bob, and Aunt Margie. I hope your all are very happy and living the life. We miss you.

Mommy, Daddy, and all your Brothers/Sisters

11/30/13 - Hi goof ball! Wow, two years today we lost you. Now your brother Spunky has kidney disease. We have him on meds now and hopefully that will help him for a while. Bogey looks and acts just like you. Sometimes I think he is you. I hope you welcomed Chloe to the bridge when we lost her in March. Have fun sweet boy! Bask in the sun, put anything you want in the water bowls, and know that we will always love you.

Mommy, Daddy, and all your crazy brothers/sisters

11/30/14 - Hi Mor-Mor! Three years this night we lost you. Time sure does fly. Your brother Spunky has lost a lot of weight and is not doing that well. He is eating and seems happy though. I hope you welcomed Uncle Buster to the bridge last month. It breaks mommy's heart when I lose one of you. We still miss your wacky ways. I hope you are very happy and until we see you again, we will always love you. Take care sweet boy!

Mommy, Daddy, and all your brothers/sisters/Aunts/Uncles

11/30/15 - Hey goofy boy! Four year this night you've been gone. I hope you met your twin brother Spunky at the bridge. Gosh, he put up a long fight as he was a 'hot mess.' I also hope you greeted Aunt Mabes, Aunt Lexy, Uncle Huckles, and Pop Pop. It was another bad year. We can't get a break. I hope ALL of you are together waiting for mommy and daddy. I still think Bogey is you sometimes. Ernie, Walter, Stanley, and Holly get into so much trouble. They've been destroying the Christmas trees every year. You and Spunky were so good and never did that. We are shooting for a real one this year. When I lose each and every one of you, it takes a piece of my heart. All of you will always be with us. We'll see you!

Mommy, Daddy, and all your brothers/sisters/Aunts/Uncles

11/30/16 - Hi Sweet Morty Boy! Five years tonight we lost you. We have been very lucky! It has been over 1 year and 2 months since we lost any of our babies. Brother Bunkles was the last we lost. I hope we still have a while yet before we lose another fur kid. Uncle Harry has a heart condition and is doing okay. Dexter seems better with his back/hips. He hops along. I hope all of you are together and happy playing in the grass, basking in the sun, and playing with the water. As I keep saying, Bogey is just like you. Toys everywhere. Ernie, brother Scoots, and Patch all love fresh water. Scoots is over 16 1/2 years old. He is very skinny but bloodwork a few months ago showed he was okay. He seems to be fine. Love all of you. Until we see each other again, run free and be happy! Love you!

11/30/17 - Hi there My Goofy Boy! Six years ago tonight we lost you. I hope you welcomed Boots and Dexter to the Bridge and that every single one of you are together and happy. Scoots is now dipping his paw in the water. He is an old man but doing okay. Bogey goes around with the toys in his mouth and puts them everywhere except the water like you did :) I miss you all and each one of you are special to me. Merry Christmas at the bridge, sweet boy. Love you!

12/2/18 - Hi Mor-Mor! Sorry this is late. So much has been going on, and I was so sick for a few days. Seven (7) years ago you left us for the bridge. Hope you are doing well and that you greeted Uncle Moby and your brother Scoots at the bridge. All you brothers are together now. I hope all of you are happy and enjoying your beautiful home. I would love it if you all would send mommy and daddy a message to let us know you are all okay. Uncle Ollie has been sick and Noel is peeing all over. We are trying to figure out what is wrong with them. I miss each and every one of you. We will be together again some day! Meowy Christmas my handsome boy! I love you!

Mommy, Daddy, and all your furry brothers/sisters/aunts/uncles

12/1/19 - Hi my sweet goof ball Morty! Sorry a day late, mommy has been sick again. Wow, eight (8) years ago yesterday we lost you. I hope you and everyone else greeted Uncle Ollie, Ernie, Uncle Toby, and Uncle Harry at the bridge. Lost so many babies in a year's time. Bogey is still as crazy as ever and very talkative. We went back to an artificial tree this year. So far so good. I think your brothers are too fat to climb it now (ha-ha). Mommy and daddy want you all to be happy and having fun basking in the sun, running in the fields chasing mice (but don't hurt them), drinking from crystal streams, and putting toys wherever you want. We love and miss every single one of you. Enjoy and we will see you again some day. Meowy Christmas!

Love,

Mommy, Daddy, and all your furry brothers/sisters/aunts/uncles

11/30/21 - Hi sweet Morty! Oh no! Did I miss writing last year? I don't see anything. I'm so very sorry. We just have too many of you at the bridge. Ten (10) years ago we lost you. I hope you greeted Patch, Noel, Ernie, Sierra, Hailey, and Bogey at the bridge. Now that you know Bogey, isn't he just like you? We want you all to be happy and enjoying your beautiful home. We are down to five cats now. Poor Cheyanne lost an eye she's 19 years and 8 months old. She is a lil spit fire. Walter is such a bully. We love and miss every single one of you. We will see you all again some day, my sweet boy Meowy Christmas!

Love,

Mommy, Daddy, and all your furry brothers/sisters/aunts/uncles

11/30/22 - Hi sweet Boy! Eleven (11) years it's been. I can't believe it. You left us after my mom. I hope you greeted Baxter in June and Charlie last week and are showing them the ropes. There are so many of you there now. We miss and love every single one of you! Hope you're happy and having fun. Please don't hurt any small animals. Put all the toys you want in water. We're down to 4 cats. It's so weird, I'm use to 14. Cheyanne is 20 years and 2 months and a lil one eyed spit fire but wouldn't have it any other way. Walter and Holly are about 15 now and Stan Man is about 13. The dogs are still as crazy as ever. Meowy Christmas, sweet boy! Enjoy!

Love,

Mommy, Daddy, and all your furry brothers/sisters/aunts/uncles

11/30/23 - Hi Mor-Mor! Twelve (12) years its been since you went to the bridge. I hope you greeted Cheyanne, Walter, and Jasmine at the bridge. Poor Jesse isn't doing too well. She's about 15-1/2 and the only original dog left. We are down to only 2 cats now, Stan the Man, and Holly. We brought Louie home. He was another foster fail. Daddy is sick with pancreatic cancer. I pray every day that our Father in Heaven lays his healing hands on him. He's doing okay. We sure miss the 'original' crew. We love and miss every single one of you. Please be happy, and I hope you're all together behaving. Meowy Christmas, 2023.

Love,

Mommy, Daddy, Holly, Stanley and the doggies
