Memories of Sadie
There are so many stories I could tell about Sadie - those who know her, know that she was a real character! One of my favorite stories is about when we first met. I went to the shelter in El Paso, Texas and once I got to the puppies I found a cage with three marked Lab/Dalmatian mix. I'd had that mix before so I took a closer look. One was black with beautiful white markings and I asked the young man working there if I could hold her. He handed me this little puppy and she immediately put her paws around my neck! That was it for me and I knew that she was The One. I took her home three days later and named her Sadie. My sister dubbed her Queen Sadie for the regal way she would preside over any room from the couch. She loved to sit on the sofa and had two of her own.

Sadie grew...and grew...and grew. At four months she was taller than my Labrador Retriever, and after meeting a Greyhound rescue group I realized she must be a Lab/Greyhound mix. She was really more Greyhound than anything- she had a Greyhound body and personality. Sadie loved to run, sleep and eat - in that order. She traveled the world with her foreign service mom, living in Brazil and Argentina. Later her Brazilian dad came into her life, and she knew words in English, Spanish and Portuguese,

More stories will be added later. Sadie was a beloved and beautiful companion for more than 15 years and we will NEVER forget her!!!
