I remember the day you came to live with us. So small and so frightened, bedraggled and neglected. How you cowered on my bed, eyes wet and wide. They called you 'Mellita Gold Concept'. We called you Ambrose.|
But oh how bold you grew in your golden fluffy britches. With your naughty little paws and your swishy, bright tail. You never showed anger, you just purred in our face as we brushed knots from your tail, cleaned your muddy face, washed your dirty paws.
You were such dear company in good times and in bad. When we lost other furry friends, you were always watching nearby. Rubbing between our legs, curling around our heads at night, nuzzling our noses at dawn.
My brave darling boy, my friend, my great loss.
Rest in peace my darling with your brothers (Pong, Sooty and Simon) and your sisters (Big Cat, Blackie, Tess, Lucy and dear Badger.)
We miss you. We love you. We Thank you.
Joanna, Hildegarde & Petie
