On Feb. 5th 2001 a very special puppy came into my life and began to show me what it meant to give your all into life. He was born a very tiny and frail puppy with a large head, weighing a mere 1ounce. On his very first day here he began to show me how much he wanted to survive. So I took on the project of seeing to it that he did survive! I bought a supply of puppy formula and pet nursers and began the job of being his Mom.At 3 days old my vet informed me that he was a hydrocephlic puppy and would probably die before the age of 2 weeks old. Boy did he fool them all! At the age of 6weeks he weighed 6ounces and was as spry as any normal puppy following me around as if I truly were his MOM. Rambo continued to thrive and amaze everyone he came in contact with as he had beat all odds by merely living. By the time he was 6 mos. pld I noticed the fluid was really building up on his brain but he continued to give it his all. By the time he was 8 mos. old hte seizures started and his balance grew worsr with every passing day,but he still continued to talk to me by saying I LOVE YOU MOM and following me around the best he could. Just shy of 9 mos. old we tried one last effort to ease his suffering by draining the fluid off his brain. For a few days it helped but Rambo got worse very quickly and within 2 weeks he could no longer stand or hold his head up very well. On the eve before I let my baby he looked into my eyes and whimpered as if to say Mom I'm ready to go home now I've done my job here.So with a heart heavy and breaking I took my "baby" to the vet and set him free. But I know that Rambo waits for me on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge where we will be reunited never to be apart again
