Frankie

My dearest Frankie, i can't believe you're gone
You were the best kitty from four months on
For 13 years you brought such joy
Comforted me when I lost my boy
Slept next to me after losing Jerry
Gave me unconditional love and helped me bury
The sadness I felt each difficult time
My baby, my friend, my companion sublime

I miss your cute face, your soft sweet purr
Your tuneful meow, your silky fur
I miss grooming you and offering a treat
having you always by my feet
Greeting me at the front door
Following me from floor to floor

There never will be a cat like you
So it's hard to say goodbye
I'll love you my dear Frankie
Until the day I die
In heaven we'll be together again
So farewell my sweet boy
I'll see you then
