I recently had to say goodbye to my companion and best friend of 12 years, my dog Punky Bear. I never knew that it would hurt this much and although people say the pain will ease, I am not sure I believe them. My dog was the smartest, most loving dog and she taught me everything about the unconditional love that pets are so capable of giving. To all of you pet lovers who have lost a member of your family, I send a hug. I will never forget you Punky Bear, you are always in my heart, the light of my life.
