As much as I wished my boy could live as long of a life as mine
I knew one day he'd have to go and I'd be left behind
It hurts me so when I look down and see the empty space on the floor
Oh how I pray that God would let me hold him just once more
His water bowl on the kitchen floor still sits in the same corner space
I think to myself "I can't move it yet", as the tears roll down my face
He was a beautiful dog, a creation of God and of course my very best friend
I can only hope and pray to God that I'll be with him again in the end...
