I will miss you
For you have gone away
Not on just a visit, but for ever and ever you see
I paid no attention to your needs
But now I see what you meant to me
You were my great friend, since the beginning of my life
And I will never forget you, or all our memories together.
You may have been "Man's best friend" , but you were my true friend.
You were once a lil pup, but grew to be a huge fan of mine.
Even though you won't be here on Earth with me and everyone else,
I will miss you, and truly remember who you were.
I love you and always will, till I come join you, up in 'Doggie Heaven',
But it seems like your time is up, but not mine.
You have been great and I thank you for being there, when times were rough
For me and everyone.
You were also a great companion, and no one will ever think of you as 'just a dog',
Because you were more,
Oh, believe me, more than just a 'dog'
I read stories, to help me during this time.
They didn't help very much, but helped me understand why I had to let you go.
As I sit here, tears come to my eyes, this is very hard,
To say good bye.
I know, I will never say just ' ole good bye'.
You will always be in my heart and soul, and with me when times are still rough, but always in my heart.
I will never forget you, my good ole buddy Yaz.
