On April 6th 2006, Prairie Hill Paints had a tragic accident involving a mare we all know as "Fancy", not only was she severely injured but she was also carrying a foal. After two vet calls it was decided Fancy needed to go to Texas A&M to receive the best care possible. While at A&M Fancy had many battles with internal bleeding, a blood disorder destroying her red blood cells and trauma to her uterus and kidney.
On April 19th 2006, Fancy foaled early in the morning which was not a desired outcome, after CPR being performed on both Fancy and her new colt, the possibility of internal bleeding and the new foal having possible problems, the outcome is still unknown at this time. We all pray for the best possible outcome, a healthy happy mom and baby running together.
Through all of this, the reality of bills sets in, This web site is for those of you who wish to be able to contribute to "The Fancy Fund". By helping alleviate some of the financial hardship most of us who have animals understand, Prairie Hill Paints is not soliciting donations, we as friends of Gin, Mik and Sherrie have set this up for them.
If you wish to donate, you can do so by paypal or by participating in one of our Ebay auctions. We thank you in advance for your help, friendship, thoughts and prayers for this family, Fancy and her little baby.
