To Eenie
by Susan Thompson
To Eenie Tears come in darkness Memories cut like a knife, Goodbye, my Princess. I didn't mean to; Mom's sorry if she caused it. Please forgive me dear. Though near death yourself, You came to comfort me with Love, head-butts, and purrs. God, that I could have Half the character you had, Furry little friend. Two carriers now Instead of three like before, Family one less. Your passing has now Allowed me to help others Also grieving loss. So all's not in vain Precious Eenie, see you at Rainbow Bridge. Love, Mom.
