She can be a bit aggressive and at other times possessive

Some say “Tortie’s have an attitude”
But Bella spent her life with us, for which we feel gratitude

Being empty nesters often leaves a hole
Instead, Bella’s beauty and grace served a vital role

Yes, she filled so very many gaps
Especially when she’d come sit on our laps

On earth, some may say you’ve dissolved
But we know Bella, you’ve evolved

Returning without force
To our origins, our source

Nature’s beauty is revealed in many ways
It’s the way that God plays

Difficult to understand and sometimes painful
But with nature, we know it’s always gainful

In mind and in heart
It's still very difficult to part

Yet we are comforted that your spiritual essence
Blesses us with your presence
