Prancing around the yard she went, sniffing for a particular scent.
Nose pointed high, smelling the blue sky.
Delicately walking on every single blade of grass, as if she were stepping on pieces of glass.
She had a unique high step prance, and appreciated what she walked on, for to her, it was not by chance.
When she came inside, hopped up on your lap, like it was her first time snuggling in for a nap.
She loved to have you scratch her neck, and treasured your touch even if just for a sec.
She'd kiss you as if to say, I love you in a special way
But when she heard the pantry door, there she was under your feet looking up from the floor.
She eagerly awaited a piece of food to drop, and you wouldn't dare pick it up with a mop, for that was what her tongue was for, and no matter how much she ate, she always had room for more.
It brought her pure joy to cuddle with dad on his bed, and she loved when he covered her with his blanket, even her head.
She always had lots of love to give, and seemed as though that is why she lived.
Thank you for blessing us Little Deer, it was an honor to have you around year after year.
You will be missed so, but we had to let you go, for it was time to play with Chi Chi, Mikey, Sid, and Ted, and for you to lie in the clouds made into your bed.
