One week ago, April 7, 2006 I lost my best friend Barney to cancer and life will never be the same. He was a brown and white, Boxer-Lab mix. (Boxer colors with a Lab body) He was beautiful! He was a fierce protector, I always knew as long as Barn's here I'm safe. On the other hand as tuff as he acted at the front door he was actually afraid to go out in his own back yard alone. We called him our clown because he was constantly doing things that made us laugh. One Christmas Eve we came home to find all our presents under the tree opened and good old Barney trying to look innocent. Except he had a candy wrapper stuck to his chest! Although we didn't laugh then it has become one of our favorite memories. At Easter he had a weakness for black jelly beans. He was the most special dog in the world to me annd I will always miss him.
