Your beginning of life was so very tough
I had the pleasure of being your Mum
You and your siblings were reared by me
It was a real experience and so much fun.
To be given you was truly a gift
The perfect friend I already new
I watched you grow and change
A member of our family so true.
I taught you tricks, five in a row
Sit, lay, roll over, beg and dance
You always did them to please
Your reward small for your performance.
Your little ways were so cute
The way you tilted your head
The cuddles I got and kisses too
Tapping on the door to be fed.
I never thought much about losing you
Your time seemed to be so far away
Our bond together was so strong
Together forever I thought we would stay.
But your time came so quickly
So callus, so swift, so cold
When I saw you lying there so still
My heart in such pain just rolled.
My memories of you will always live on
One day again we will together be
Chloe, my love, I bid you farewell
My little “Tart”, Rest peacefully!!!
A Special Friend you will always be!!!!
