I can still remember my husband coming in the house said he had a surprise. One of his friends daughters was going into the military and had a ferret she couldn't take with her. He brought the huge cage in the living room and there was a curious face peeking out of the bars of the cage. She took both of her paws and clasp her bars of the door with her teeth and shook with all of her might to escape. She was houdini with four paws. She opened the door. My children who were about 7 (chelsey) and 4 (chris) looked in amazement at the wonders of this furry little stinker. She climbed out and let her curiousity make her way. She ventured through the house. She made us laugh and her comical joy of dancing. It only took a few days and my daugher Chelsey and her were inseperatable. Chelsey named her Flower, I think it was because she had a smell to her but she was just too precious to be given a common name. Chelsey would take her for bike rides and have long talks. She would tell Flower all of her secrets.
Chelsey's great grandma who she was really close to passed away, I believe that is the time Chelsey really confided in her new best friend, everywhere Chelsey went Flower was to follow. When we would go on vacation, Flower would have her packs all packed before any of the rest of the family. When she didn't want to go with us she would stay with grandma whom she loved going to her house, knowing she would be spoiled all weekend. Flower loved peanut butter treats, even if she was in the next room and she heard you fiddled with the canister of peanut butter treats she would be there in a flash with her dancing taking action. Flower loved to be cuddled and loved giving kisses. Flower and Chelsey were roomates for almost 4 years. Flower would pull her houdini trick and climb onto Chelsey's bed and wake her up. Flower brought many wonderful memories with her on her way to rainbow bridge. She is missed alot by us, in hopes that we may all see her again someday. It's been a week since she passed away and we didn't want to see her go. Flower June 16,2004. Little friend don't forget us. Love ya. Chelsey (adopted mom), becca, cory, chris and grandma.
