Red is my Australian Stumpy Tail cattle dog, I got him as a pup for my husdand for fathers day of this year, but of course he became mine, going everywhere with me and helping me feed and take care of the rest of my animals and working in my gardens. Since he was a pup my daughter and I would take him for walks with our other dogs, I would throw sticks and he would chase after them and pounce on them.I miss them walks. He loved to play with Ladybug my daughters lab/coon hound mix. They loved each other so much, they ate together, played together, hunted mice in the fields together, and he slept curled up next to her with his head on her back every night. She misses him, she isnt the same happy dog anymore. My Kids loved him and played with him and taught him how to jump on the trampoline (which became his and Ladybugs favorite place). He loved to help me herd the chickens even if they didnt need herding which usually ended with the chickens chasing him. My Reddie Bear got hit by a speeding car on the morning of Feb 13 2003. They didnt even slow down, they had no reguard for the little life they had taken that day. Now our lives are empty. No longer does Ladybug hunt for mice, No longer is my little guy waiting at the door for our morning feedings. No longer do the kids and dogs play on the trampoline together. No longer can I walk through the fields without sadness, no longer can I throw sticks for him to pounce on. Reddie Bear is waiting for us at Rainbow Bridge. I will miss him every day until I see him again. My heart is broken by his loss. We love and miss you Reddie Bear, Love Mommy, Dad, Chuck, Ryan, Sammy, Ladybug, Rascel and Jett
