Mr. Snuggles, a black and white cat was about 4 or 5 months old when we found him. Some children were throwing rocks at him as he was trapped in the corner of the school building and heavy railings. I, Mom, scooped him up and took him home where he lived with Tiger our other cat. We lost Tiger to cancer a few years ago. And Missy, before Tiger, died suddenly on Christmas Eve in 1984.
Mr. Snuggles was a gentle loving cat and his name came from the sample of Snuggles fabric softener we got in the mail the day we got him. For some years now Snuggles has been treated for Pancreatic problems and medicated for it and overactive thyroid. He has been sooooo thin compared to the chubby cat he was. Yet he still loved his food and table food too which he was not allowed to eat. He was a timid cat when outdoors too. He got out a few times on his own.
Well, Mr. Snuggles had trouble breathing late yesterday afternoon and was taken to a 24 hr vet. His own vet was already closed. After many tests and suggestions for a possible plan of care and the complications, it was decided to let Mr. Snuggles go peacefully. His body was shutting down and he had a mass around his lungs. So, good-bye to Mr. Snuggles who always slept with us, ate with us, etc. He will be soooooo missed by his family. He will always be loved by us and will remain in our hearts forever. We love you Mr. Snuggles and hope you meet up with Tiger, Missy and the fish and white mouse pets we have had. Till we meet again! Love, Christine, Vanessa, Dad and Mom
