We saw an ad in the newspaper for kittens. We went to see the kittens and brought Brownie home. Brownie was black and white with a splotch of orange on her head. We had her 17 1/2 years. When we first brought Brownie home we lived in an apartment. My husband was out of town and I went to bed early. Brownie was on the window sill in the bedroom and her meowing woke me up. I woke up as a man was breaking in through the bedroom window. I was able to get out and go to my neighbors to call the police. Brownie saved my life. The night before Brownie became sick she was sitting with me on the sofa eating ice cream. In the morning she was having trouble moving her back legs. We immediately took her to the vet who said she had developed a blood clot and there was nothing that could be done. We brought Brownie home and she passed away a couple days later. I wasn't really ready to let her go. Pets are gifts from God which we only have for a short period of time. I know Brownie is somewhere up above with other pets looking down on us. I love you Brownie.
