I just wanted to tell you a little of my dog Romper , I had her for 15 years and had to have her put to sleep 6 weeks ago , it was the hardest thing i have ever done in my life , she was never an ill dog and was never at the vets up until January of thsi year when she had a lump on her leg , the vets then decided to remoce the lump which turned out to be cancerous.
We were all very excited as we thought the lump had been caught in time but sadly it wasnt and she had to have her leg removed a few weeks later , but she was just too old to cope with it , this is the part that saddens me the most , if i had known that life would have been so tough for her after the loss of her leg then i would never have done it , i can still see her yet looking at me and wondering why she couldnt get up to eat her food and why i had to carry her outside when she needed the toilet , so the time came when i had to say enough was enough , liek i said its been 6 weeks and its still fresh in my mind as if it was yesterday and i miss her so much.
I love you Rompy and thankyou for choosing me to spend your 15 years with , you were such a star everyone said so and i was so proud to have been your mum.
