A cat story
by Jack Palinsky
My precious cat, Littleman, disappeared over a year ago and I have long since stopped praying for a miracle. But, each passing day brings one more smile to replace the fallen tears. His passing gave me new direction in my life, I have rescued three needy cats and will be taking in another shortly. I'm mentioning this as a reminder to anyone who might read my story that the rescues are in honor of the cat I loved as much as anything in my life. We have all suffered losses and nothing can replace the departed pet, nothing is supposed to, please open your hearts to those lonely suffering little creatures out there and give them a forever home, be they a dog, a cat, a horse or any other in need... I never dreamed of doing what I've done and I'm suggesting to others, until I lost my best friend, a large white cat. I'm just diverting my love until he and I are together again. I hope some of you who read this will do the same. I love my Littleman and always will, it's because of him that I do this. If possible, open your home to a needy animal, it's far easier and more rewarding than you might think. As I reflect on the love my cat and I shared, I realize that what I'm doing is what he would want. An animal lover
