Bye Bonita
by Linda Neering
Bonita is Spanish for Beautiful, and beautiful she was. She gave me kisses on my nose, and loved me "just because". I thought she'd live til twenty years, but something happened today. She couldn't stand and seemed so weak, so God took her away. Don't ever say "She's just a bird", not worth our grief or pain. For if you would have known her, you'd know what we had gained. Good morning chirps and wings spread wide with mists or breaths of love. She had a soul, of this I'm sure, We will see her up above.... We love and will miss your sweetness, Bonita. Fly free over Rainbown Bridge, like you were in Australia, where your breed originated from. It has to be better than a cage. Love & Memories 4-ever....Amy Lin Moriah and Mom, Linda
