Under the husky moon
by Mike Avis
I've journeyed to the stars above
here with friends
I know and love

But something calls to me
it says that I should go,
that I should travel with all my friends
to the land of ice and snow

so, as I race northwards
through the frosty air,
I think of you
and love we shared

Now the full moon shines
upon the snowy land,
casting its' silvery light
it's then I know our life and love,
and how it was so right

Though my heart does ache
for I miss you so
still, you love me
this I know

So when next you spie the moon
rising high into the sky
Know that in my heart of hearts
I feel your mournful cry

As we gaze into the night
and see the shimmering moon,
I feel the sorrow in your eyes
For there my spirit-it does lie

Under the husky moon
For you, Luna. RIP
