Sophie came to us in October of 1994 when she was 1 and 1/2 years old. Sophie was a black and white Siberian Husky with two beautiful blue eyes. Her previous owner had neglected her and when we got her she had no training and did not like people very much. But with alot of love from the entire family she learned to love us in return. I taught her how to say "I Love You" and people were amazed when they heard her. She could roll over and catch treats on her nose too. She liked to run away whenever she could find a way to get loose, which was not very often. One time she ran away and we called the Police to report it. They called back and said that they found her and she was sitting in the back of their cruiser when we showed up. The policeman said she was the friendliest dog they every "arrested". Sophie got very ill the last couple of years. She developed epilepsy and used to have seizures. She was on medication for that. She had a thyroid problem. She was on medication for that too. A year ago she developed a tumor in her spleen and she was so sick. We had the tumor removed. It cost us $1500, but, it was worth it to have her one more year. Recently, the lumps started to return and she started biting her skin really bad. She just turned 11 years old last Sunday, May 9, 2004. I miss her so much and would do anything to have her back. I look for her in all the places she used to lay, but, she is not there anymore. I look for her outside on her dog run, but, she is not there either. I know she is not in pain any more and is at peace, but, I'm not. Sophie will always have a special place in my heart. I miss you girl and "I love you" so much.
