My little friend
by Marie Mariano
Dear Lucy,
Ate Marie misses you so.
Wishing you didn't have to go.
I thought you would stay long.
How sad it is to see you gone.
I can't eat. Nor sleep.
The house is empty. Not a peep.
Of your collar dangling.
Nor your tail a wagging.
I can't stand to be apart and wish it didn't break my heart. But I know you were tired. And I know your little body couldn't take it.
And how much you loved me that you had waited.
For us to say goodbye. And I pray that I will see you again.
My little friend.

I love you my baby boo boot. I miss you so much.
