(This poem was written the night our Pug, Penny passed away. My family hopes she is chasing Fred, the squirrel, in Heaven. We will never forget her)
I Miss Her Today
We Will Never Forget The Month Of May,
When You Came To Us And When You Went Away
For Two Memorable Years, You Brought Joy To Us All,
But It Wasnt Enough For Our Baby Doll
So Many Memories Will Be In Our Hearts
Of Our Lives Together, But Where Can We Start
When The House Was Empty, You Slept On The Couch,
But When Robbie Was Home, You Slept In His Pouch
When Jimmie Came Home, Youd Scratch At The Door
And His Arm For Food, When You Wanted More
When Adam Was Home, You Were On Him Like Glue
You Especially Liked It When He Called You His Boo
Mama Always Laughed When You Chased Down A Birdie,
And You Were So Happy When She Said, Hi Pertty!
Licking Our Faces, Wagging Your Tail,
Going Outside To Help Get The Mail
Smacking Your Pretzels, Eating The Grass,
The Final Result Your Horrible Gas
Barking At Thunder, Chasing Down Fred,
Hiding Your Biscuits And Bones In The Bed
Biting Our Toes, Stealing Our Socks,
Prancing Around In The Backyard With Rocks
Digging For Gold, Resting On Clothes,
Sneezing And Spraying Those Snots From Your Nose
Scratching That Sweet Spot, Lifting Your Leg,
When You Wanted More You Did Not Have To Beg
Pouncing Your Toys, Asleep In Our Laps
Under The Covers When Taking Your Naps
You Were Loved By Us Deeply And Adored By So Many,
That Nothing Could Make Us Forget You, Sweet Penny
Life Must Go On, Youd Want It That Way,
But Well Never Stop Thinking
I Miss Her Today
