Merry, thank you so much for coming to my party...for you, yourself, were the greatest gift I received. These eight years of caring for you have been precious, and I will always hold you dear to my heart. To think you gave me so much - and all you ever wanted was good food, your face being rubbed and "coming to bed with Mommy."
Though you crossed over that bridge just yesterday (God, please make it be true that I'll see Merry again), it seems like forever ago that I heard your sweet meow reminding me it was time for some food. I'll always miss hearing those pitter-patters of your tiny paws come up on my stepstool, and I'll always miss your sweet "mee-yaang," and most especially the kisses you gave on my forehead and nose when I would rub your little head.
Thank you so much for picking my house that fateful night, Merry. I love you and miss you so much, and I look forward to seeing you again as you were when you were strong and healthy - purring and meowing and laying in the sun.
Love forever,
Mommy
