Dearest Laika Baby,

You came to us at nine months old. A stunning classic husky with a wild spirit. You needed a soft place to land. You were fiercely Independent, energetic and full of mischief. You kept us all guessing what your next adventure might be. You loved the beach almost as much as the snow! Sandy Hook NJ was one of your favorite places. You loved the lake by our house too. You were my walking companion in both good and bad weather. We both loved wandering the neighborhood and enjoying the fresh air. You struggled with illness the past few years but never let that stop you from enjoying life. You’re probably having a major case of zoomies today and remembering what it feels like running pain free. Thanks for sharing your love, energy and enthusiasm with us! I will treasure my memories of you! Until we meet again!
