In Memory of Snowball, My Ferret
by Chance Lee
In Memory of Snowball, My Ferret I love the way that your pretty face shined When you coyed for dinner off of our plates, You aced us out in your brilliant mind You frolicked like you needed a playmate. Trenton played tug-of-war with his wallet With you, Even though you always stole it, You drug dad's old shoes off like a bullet, Into Trenton's bedroom where you would sit. Then on the sad, fateful, twelfth day of May Dad had to help you o'er the bridge of death, Just fathom in our hearts that you will stay, That we will love you to our last breath. Someone special will protect you from harm, Some day again, I will hold you in my arms. P.S. I LOVE YOU BABY HUGS AND KISSES GOODNIGHT FOREVER AND ALWAYS NANA SENDS HER LOVE ALSO! PLEASE WAIT FOR ALL OF US TO JOIN YOU!!!
