I can't sleep you are not here laying by my side. My only child and friend is dead. He stayed by my side when I was sick, lifted me when I was down, and protected me in my time of need. You was always there for me never doubting me. When I got down you took your cold nose and lifted my hands to pet you, and made me happy again. No one, no thing will ever replace you. Many strangers have you met. I walk through the valley of your shadow. In the cold river of a glass, I see your reflection pass, I felt your soul go through me when you passed. You have conquered your past, the future is here at last; You stand to a new world you can see. The ruins to the right of you will soon have lost sight of you. I'm sorry you felt all that pain. We will meet again. Love rescue you and me. I Love You so much.
Love,
Mom
I wrote this about my Rottweiler (Eeyore Tupac Kane) with a little help from a U2 song called Love Rescue Me
