Unwanted life
by Katie Langille
Eye to eye, trust and sorrow Breaks my heart as on the morrow To sentient beings wanting but to live Death is the kindness that I give If only it were mine to do Life and love I’d give you The task performed if by rote A painful lump forms in my throat It makes me angry, mad as hell Unwanted life please sleep well.
