REMEMBER WHEN
by NORMA LEVIN
You were so little the day we met, someone else owned you, I knew you were the best. You gave me 14 years of your life, but never enough, although you were little, you were so tough. You never complained of feeling ill, you were a little trouper, always taking your pills. Like everyone else, I thought I was doing the best, you went through surgery, and passed the test. But you were called home later that night, you put your head down and gave up the fight. My life is so empty, my Monty is gone-I hope you knew, my best friend, I loved you with all my heart.
