Remembering Puck
by Kathy Weisman.........................................
Puck was a Grey Cockateil... Our first of many.
We received Puck on January 7, 1986
She was a joy to have around. Had a special bonding with me.
The on day August 24, 1998 I notice that Puck appeared
to be getting thinner.
After I fed her the morning Breakfast it was clear that she
was not feeling well.
Around noon I got her out of her Cage and she crawled up on
my shoulder and put her head against my neck as if trying to
comfort me.
That evening I carried the Cage into the Kitchen at our Dinner
time hopeing that it may encourage her to eat.... She tried...
That evening I had to go out for a while, I told her I would
be back in about a hour. As I return and went to the cage it
was clear she was in her final seconds... Within a minute she
passed away in my hands... She waited for my return...
God be with you Puck.... To this day her picture is among the
Family members on the wall of the computer room
