LaserBeam
by Karen Apfel.........................................
2 weeks after the death of my darling cat Charlie, a friend of mine from payrool told me her mom had a kitten that needed a home. Now I already had 6 cats at home with me, or should i say they had the paprtment and allowed to reside there to take care of them. Well she told me the story of this kitten and of course i was suckered. The kitten was born premature to a very young mother cat. She was the only survivor of a litter of 5. they were born in a hayloft and 3 had fallen to their deaths. The other kitten that didnt fall didnt live cause it was to small. So of course the story got to me as Becky knew it would. I have a sucker tattoo on my forhead...lol.

I made arrangements to met Becky at her moms house to ' see ' the kitten. I knew full well i was going to be bringing her home so I had put the carrier in the back seat. Well I fell head over heels for this little grey ball of fur that was all attitude. She snarled and hissed at me and tried to act so visicious...it was adorable.

I brought her home and introduced her to the brood. The female cats snarled and hissed and got their tails in a bunch about her. But my big bruiser cat Kane...29 lbs of baby black panther cat, walked up to her...sniffed her and the kitten turned right around and swatted him right across his nose. I knew right then and there she was going to fit right in with this brood.

Laser has become my saving grace...she has choosen me to be her human ..and she is my baby girl. she sleeps next to me and Kane, curls up with me when im on the computer, and she talks to me all the time. I've missed that alot since charlie ahs been gone. No one will be bale to replace Charlie, but she comes close to it. She got her from flying around ehre like a little laser beam...her full name is LaserBeam Squirbel de Bug. A cockroach had managed to mke it upstairs to my apatrment and instead of killing it...she pounced it and played with it...it was a very cute thing to see. She eventually did end up killing it and eating it, but..extra protein...lol

All of my cats are my kids....and i hope to have amny many years of happiness with them all.
