Have you seen our little Maggie Mae
The cutest dog of all
Perched on legs like spindles
Barely two feet tall
Though she only had two speeds
Comatose and ten
Her gentle spirit filled our home
Brought joy from end to end
She'd bark and jump at mealtime
Whine just like a child
Then give a look of innocence
Like an angel soft and mild
Oh she was a funny dog
She always made us laugh
Although if the truth be told
We sometimes felt like staff
We'd truss her up for nightly walks
She'd bolt right out the door
Not quite sure who walked who
We always longed for more
Surely there's no limit
To praises for this hound
She was a singularity
Our love it knew no bound
You cannot meet our Maggie Mae
For she's no longer here
But if you ever knew her
You'd surely shed a tear
