This is a story about my house sitter and about how Lolipop scared the life out of him.
A few years back we went away on holiday and we got our freind to take care of Lolipop while we were gone,we thought we had explained all we needed to our freind to make life easier for him and Lolipop and off we went.
We had a great time in the sun and came back feeling really refreshed.
We asked how the cat sitting had gone and our friend then told us how he was frightened to death nearly.
It began like this,He put the cat out one evening to go and do her business and he never thought anymore about it,he sat down and was watching a bit if tv,when he heard the front door open ,he wondered who had come and in and went to take a look,no one was there so he continued to watch the tv,but then started getting a bit nervous as he wondered why and how the door had opened,a few minutes later he heard some noise upstairs and was beginnning to think somone may have come into the house,he turned the tv down so he could listen,he was all quiet and then suddenly he said he heard the door to the living room open and he said this black cat came toddling in as if she owned the place...which of course she did own the place don't all our pet's own our homes..
He then realised that our cat Lolipop could open the front door,you see the front door to our house even though very heavy could be opened like this...she would climb upon the wall and put her paw on the handle and push it down,then the door would open and in she would come ,her favourite place to sleep at that time was upstairs on a bed,so she would go straight upstairs,but on this particular day she dicided to to scare the life out of our sitter,
once he knew what happened and who had done this he was ok about it..
But we did have some great laughs at this and Lolipop thought she was so so clever opening the doors and we just wondered when she would master the art of closing them,but she never did..although our budgie Joey did,we used to open his cage door so he could have a fly around and he never once did as he took one look at Lolipop and went right near the door and closed it with his beak,funny things our animals do,and how we love and miss them,but when we take a look back we know they have given us so much love and have given us joy and laughter too..
