Hello, Heaven! Tea House Tails, #2
by Martha Hooks
Hello, Heaven, it’s me, Lisa Marie, again. I want to send another message by Angel Mail so here goes.... Dear Peoples, Mikiko and JellyBean: Do you remember last summer when Mr. & Mrs. Carolina Wren built a nest in one of Mom’s hanging baskets? Well, they’re baaaack! They built their nest in Mom’s prettiest hanging basket–the one with a big pink begonia. We aren’t tall enough to see into the nest but Mom peeked and told us Mrs. Wren has laid five little eggs. This is driving that CAT of yours CRAZY! Catarina has been “grounded” until the baby birds all fly away. She sits by the patio doors where she can see everything out there. Mrs. Wren doesn’t mind when all of us Chin girls go out for our walks ‘cause she knows we’re not going to bother her eggs. Bet she’s glad that Catarina isn’t allowed out for the duration!>>>>>> Olivia, Smudge, Taki-Sun and yours truly are helping Mom build a Memory Garden at The Tea House for Furbabies. We’ve planted a bunch of things like a red Japanese maple, hibiscus, and stuff (we were helping dig the holes until Mom decided it was easier to clean her two feet rather than our 16 feet!). We’re going to have stepping stones on the garden path, and a fountain, and a bench so people can sit. Since most of us furbabies are Japanese, we have an Asian arbor at the entrance to the garden and the fountain is sort of Oriental–bamboo and river rock and stuff. Of, yes, I almost forgot, we even have little marble bricks with your names on them to put in our garden. I’m told that people have great big memory gardens with lots and lots of rocks and bricks with names of people who have gone to Heaven. Well, I’m sure that all of them didn’t go straight to Heaven–some of them might be waiting for furbabies at Rainbows Bridge. Does Rainbows Bridge have a waiting room for people to use or do they just romp around with furbabies? Just curious. We all miss you and think about you every single day. Must stop for now and send this note by Angel Mail. Love from all, Lisa Marie, Secretary The Tea House Japanese Chin Club
