Bingo
by Charlotte Hayes
I have so many beautiful memories of my little Bingo, a Lhasa/Bishon mix who loved and lived with me for 12 years. After a short bout with cancer, yesterday I gave her my last gift of love...a peaceful death in my arms. Losing her yesterday has broken my heart. She cherished her ball, running in the grass, chasing her tail, asking for cookies, and greeting me when I came home from work. She traveled well, but preferred the car. After two airplane flights, she refused to collect frequent flyer miles. I have so many funny Bingo memories. I think I remember most how she could find the very exact center of a twin, regular, queen or king bed, and then know with all certainty tht I would find a way to not disturb her. I miss my little girl very much, and when the pain subsides, and I know it will, I plan to write down all of my favorite memories so we can share them together at Rainbow Bridge.
