homeless
by Shiloh Hawkins
I was so happy when they brought me home I had a bed and had some one to care for me I was never alone he left early for work each day patted my on the head and would return in the afternoon but one day he didn't come home i was there all alone for the first time in my life i waited a while and then fell asleep i figured when i woke up, he would be there. I looked out the window to see the big buildings he was in but when i looked; i saw no big buildings. all i saw was smoke and fire people screaming and rubble it was a few days later and all i could do is pace i was starting to wonder, if he died because of his race my neighbor took me to the wall where sad people signed it and all the lost faces were. and then, i saw it. my owners face posted on the wall with a million others then i knew, i was homeless... now i have no home, but i was brought in by the police i am scared and unhappy will somebody please take me home?
