Casey and her family adopted Sade when she was a puppy. I remember seeing her and thinking she was all hair. They had a pond that Sade love to swim in. She had the sweetest face and wagging tail; you couldn't help but love her. She was always happy. Sade was really Casey's puppy. As Sade grew, the love and bond between Sade and Casey grew. Casey grew up and she and Sade moved out on their own. When Casey visited her friends on the weekend, Sade always went along. Casey was single with no kids, but Sade was her baby. She told me she put a blanket on the floor for Sade to sleep on during the day when she was at work, but Sade would sleep on the bed. When she heard Casey come home, she would get off the bed and lay down on the blanket as if she had been there all day. Sade had quite an interesting life with Casey. Sade like to go out on the balcony and bark. Sade would sleep with Casey at night, and during Sade's last few months, she was unable to get on the bed so Casey took her mattresses off the frame so Sade would be able to get on the bed. Sade starting having seizures and Casey would lay on the floor holding her, sometimes spending the night sleeping on the floor with Sade. Sade has a great spirit and kept on going even when the doctors said she wouldn't. Sade became very ill and it was time to let her go. I know that is the hardest thing that Casey has ever had to do. How to you let your companion, your baby of so many years go? Sade is no longer with Casey, but she will always be in her heart and the love they shared will go on. Thank you Sade for all the happiness that your brought, the unconditional love that you gave, and the wonderful memories you left behind.
