Marshmallow first came home with me on September 6,2000. I was at Kasmires pet shop, i almost wanst going to get marshmallow. I thought that one gold one was really adorable, but then marshmallow walked up to the glass and i saw her and i knew she was the hamster for me. Even my cousin thought so. We picked out the cutest things: All pink! (since she was a girl)All i could that day was sit and watch her run the wheel in her cage. I wanted to take her out so bad! But i knew i shouldnt. Every time we went to get her food, we would come back with atleast 2 diffent treats for her to try. I rember one time, while i was cleaing out her cage, i put her in her little pink ball,and i went into the bathroom. When i got back the ball was open in the middle of my floor. I was so scared! then while i was looking under my dresser, i felt her crawl on my leg, i was so happy to see her! Ever since then i always kept a close eye on her. Then one night she didnt look so good, so i just took her out and held her right up to when i had to go to bed. Then next day when my mom picked me up from school, marshmallow was inside of a shoe box sleeping. I was scared to go because i just could tell by the way she was acting that something was wrong. When i got to the vet, the vet technition thought she was the most adorable thing ever! (who didnt?) Then when the vet walked in her took her temperature... she just kinda left. He put her on oxygen for a while, but i knew then at that point it was just usless, well actually cruel to keep her alive, when she was in so much pain.i was so sad....i walked out with tears in my eyes. She will never be forgotten. No hamster will ever top marshmallow. She has a special place in all our hearts, and that place will never be lost.Even my dad liked "That little rodent!" My mom especial loved her(she would say goodnight to her before me!) But no one will miss her like i miss her. MARSHY! I LOVE YOU
