My Little Girl
by Kathryn Evans
Petra was my special girl The kind you can't replace I was so proud to say she's mine As she was so very sweet She never barked and never growled She always made me laugh She fought so hard to stay As I watched her fading away I couldn't stand to see her suffer So I lay her down to rest Inside my heart is breaking My little girl is gone I held her in my loving arms And said "I'll miss you girl" Now go and run with all your friends As you cross the Rainbow Bridge And roll and romp along the hills As if you were all young But I'll miss your wagging tail And I'll miss your happy face At least I have those memories Until we meet again Rest Peacefully Little Girl I love you
