I wake up and miss seeing that waging tale.
No more barking signaling time for a walk.
Gone is the love and joy exuded
whenever Zeus saw the family.
At night the house seems lonely
without his comforting presence.
My Presa was so strikingly handsome.
People would stare at him in the street
Zeus was strong, yet gentle enough to sit at
my grandchidren's feet.
He had passed the puppy stage,
now an intelligent, obediant two year old dog
with a zest for living.
Then pow, snuffed out by a sudden sickness.
It seems impossible to comprehend.
His memory will remain in my heart.
