As I stand here with tears
Streaming down my face
I think of all the years
That he ran his good race
Always a faithful friend
And never once late
True through to the end
We'll meet at Heaven 's Gate
How he loved his toys
And yes, his dinner
He loved girls and boys
He was always a winner
I truly miss his love
And his wagging tail
But now he's home above
Never again to ail
Thank you Lord above
For lending me a friend
Reminding me of his love
For now You his needs attend
When I go home at last
I know my pets I'll see
We'll remember the past
With hearts filled with glee
