Morning Sunlight Sweep

Morning Sunlight Sweep

In the morning sunlight sweet
heard a padding of four feet
Carrying your tiny body nigh
poking round a corner to just say 'Hi'

Then your passionate heart goes where
your glowing eyes saying 'go to there'
as your ears pick up to say
'It's going to be another glorious day'

Running and chasing your elusive tail
trying to catch it but to no avail
when sunlight streams at its stop
and you in position attempt to hop

Gazing to the right and then the left
your body tries to avert the cleft
aiming brightly into your sight
as you slide inside the left and the right

And then you gaze as 'twere your goal
those gorgeous eyes deep into my soul.
