Zeus was born on April 1st 2001. He wasn't expensive, he wasn't perfect(he had a under bite), and he was the runt. He was perfect to me! I got to take Zeus home with me after 9 weeks. He was a tri color male. I had a farm and he got to play, run, learn about horses, run into holes an not come out, go after barn mice(he was a great mouser),he ran in russell races, and go to horse shows with me. If it wasn't to hot in the truck he ran errands, he was my best friend.
In 2004 I got a divorce(the farm sold) and he was with me all the way. Never did he look for anything in my hard times. He waited for me to come home from work.
I have moved to a new farm. Yesterday, July 31st, he got hit by a truck. I watched the whole thing. I can't get it out of my mind. We rushed him to the local hospital, his back leg was crushed he will have to loose it. His right leg has a bad bad cut on it(about 1 year ago he tore his ACL on the right leg and had never used it fully). His insides were stable. He could live with one leg if the other leg was ok but it wasn't. They took him off all life support and I got to hold him(this is very hard for me) and I told him I would have done anything for him. I heald him as they put him to sleep.
We dug a hole on the farm, I put his collar, toys, bone, and poems in with him. I am on hear right now because I want to get him a head stone. I could type and type about my little pup-pup but he would want me off the computer so that he could play.
Rest in peace and I can't wait to see you at the Bridge!
