I saw you in the early light today, but just for a moment.
A moment all too brief, but all too real: there you were; just for a moment.
But just as I cried out and reached for you, the moment had passed;
All too real, but all too brief; just as our time together ...

How amazing, that our Heavenly Father gave us those years to share;
Just for a moment, it seemed as if you were still here.
I cry out; sometimes I weep, often just with silent, flowing tears.
I pray and beg our Father above to send you back, because I need your love.

Forgive me, Dear Departed Fur Baby of Mine; for my selfish needs;
I know you are healed now and await me at The Rainbow Bridge;
And though I want you to play and frolic; my soul, my heart for you still pleads.
I do not want to let you go; in my heart I never will; but Father God above,
Our Holy Father, will protect us both with His love.

For our time together I give my undying gratitude, to our Lord above;
Once my Fur Baby here, we shared such unconditional love.
I believe in miracles; in them I really do; I am asking one of the Lord above;
Please, Lord Jesus, may we meet again, my Lord, just for a moment?
