my tribute to our Daisy Mae
by Carol Talerico.........................................
To my sweet brave little girl:
You were the most loving companion anyone on this earth could ever dream of having.
Some thought you were just a pretty little white ball of fluff, because that what you looked like, and yes we spoiled you. But we knew better.
You always comforted Dad a me, whether we were in pain or sick, just sad or when we were fighting. How many times did I cry into your soft warm furry body. You always licked away my tears or just snuggled closer, often I could tell you were sad for me and maybe a bit scared. Thankyou my sweet.
You've taught me so much especially about unconditional love, so natural to you, not to me. I'm trying to get better.
My heart is so heavy, your Dad's too. We miss you so much. So hard to let you go yesterday, the drive to the vets wasn't long enough for me. Then you were gone so fast, our Goodbye over so fast. I want you back little one. My arms and this house, so empty. I walk from room to room wishing you were still here, waiting for me to pick you up, or just seeing you somewhere.
Daisy I know that you know that we had to let you go because we love you. I think and pray you were ready. You would have suffered just a bit longer to be with us if you could have, so brave as always.
My little darling I hope at the end we comforted you this time, as you slipped away.
You'll always be in our hearts. I love you baby Mummy
