Colleen

Colleen was born on St. Patricks Day 1988. My sisters and I were so excited to get a puppy. Colleen is a Rat Terrier with big ears and a stub for a tail; she is the cutest dog in the world. She was so tiny when we took her home; she fit in the palm of my fathers hand. We spoiled her from day one and she quickly became a member of our family. Colleen would take turns with sleeping with my sisters and I. Some how she became the Queen of our domain. She would start out sleeping snuggled up in the back fold of our legs and by morning she would have taken over our pillow. We didnt mind though, because we loved her so much. Colleens favorite snacks were Goldfish a.k.a. Fishes and American cheese. Somehow she always knew when we were opening the package of cheese and there she was at our feet with that adorable grin. Over time Colleen acquired nicknames we began calling her Lena and Colleena-Molina. We dont know why we called her those names, perhaps we called her them because she was so lovable. Colleen also loved to play games with us, often times she would hide her dog food all over the house and go back for it later. Colleen had lots of toys and she always brought one at a time to us and placed them at our feet. She loved being a part of our family, she watched us grow up and we watched her. The hardest thing was watching her grow old, she slowed down over time and would no longer hear the package of cheese get opened, and she no longer brought us her toys. But, we know she never forgot who we were and we will never forget her. There will always be a special place for Colleen in all of our hearts. Colleen passed away January 14, 2004. She would have been 16 this St. Patricks Day. We know her time came and now it is her time to play again with all the pets over Rainbow Bridge. We love you Colleen, love your family.
